Diggin' Depot sprung from a sandy little idea and a giant love of mess; watching our son light up over construction trucks and the pure joy of digging inspired us to create a place where play is fun, engaging, and even therapeutic.

Being parents ourselves, we saw a need in the community for an indoor play haven— a place where kids can have a blast, burn off excess energy and socialize with other kids. We wanted to create a space that’s not only welcoming to young kids, but that’s also inviting and enjoyable for parents.

We built the largest indoor sandpit in Birmingham, Alabama so kids can scoop, dump, build and explore their senses while grown-ups catch up on emails, have coffee or treat from our cafe, or swap stories with other parents. It’s part play paradise, part parent retreat—designed to satisfy tiny hands that crave texture and big people who crave a quiet minute (or sixty). Rain or shine, we’re here for your next fun adventure!
