Welcome to Diggin’ Depot, Riverchase’s premier children’s indoor play cafe!
Our vibrant environment is designed to spark imagination and adventure for children ages 1 to 8. From construction vehicles to interactive play zones, we offer endless opportunities for exploration and learning.
Located in Birmingham, Alabama, Diggin' Depot is the perfect place for family fun, birthday parties, and unforgettable play experiences. Join us for a day filled with joy and discovery!

PARADISE
Diggin' Depot is a sensory play haven with loads of sand (50 tons to be exact), vehicles and exciting sand toys. Kids can dig, scoop, pour, build, and practice motor skills in a safe space that keeps play messy and imaginative.

We designed Diggin’ Depot with the whole family in mind. It’s a place where grown-ups can exhale while the kids burn off energy; a cozy spot to sip a drink from our cafe, relax, and chat with other parents in a welcoming space.

We make birthday parties fun, stress-free, and unforgettable. Our private party room is set up for your celebration with friends and family, and the birthday child and their guests can dig and play to their hearts’ content.

ABOUT OUR SAND
Our Baha Play Sand features smooth, round grains that won't hard-pack, so castles stay fluffy and hands stay happy; it's silica-free and quartz-free for peace of mind, while its cool, cushioned texture makes digging and building comfortable for little ones. Non-toxic and kid-safe, Baha Play Sand provides a soft, worry-free surface that encourages imaginative play without the dust or grit of ordinary sands.

Sandbox Hours
🕒 Monday through Saturday: 8 am - 5 pm
🕒 Sunday: 10 am - 5 pm
Open play is first come, first served. Please check our current hours before arriving. During peak hours and weekends, please reserve your spot in advance to ensure availability.

To keep the fun safe for everyone, an adult or legal guardian must sign a waiver before any child digs in. Please have the waiver completed online ahead of time or at check-in so playtime can start without delay.
SANDBOX RULES
-Kids must be 8 years or younger. Older children may enter if assisting younger siblings.
-Parent or caregiver must stay and supervise their child(ren)
-Remove shoes and before entering. Shoes (or grip socks) must be worn after exiting the sandbox
-Feet must be clean before entering sand
-No food, drinks or liquids allowed in the sandbox
-No personal toys allowed
-No throwing or kicking sand
-Leave sand and sand toys in the sandbox
-Be respectful of others around you
-Report any misconduct to our staff
